First Impressions
In Inside Under&Out, you step into the shoes of a convenience store cashier working the late-night shift. What starts as a routine evening quickly spirals into chaos when an earthquake strikes, causing the store to sink and flip upside down. Suddenly, your mundane task list transforms into a fight for survival as you navigate an inverted underground nightmare.
How It Plays
The gameplay in Inside Under&Out is a blend of performing different tasks around the store and platforming. I wish the platforming segment of Inside Under&Out was more challenging. Perhaps additional obstacles or increasing the complexity of the jumps could enhance the overall experience. Alternatively, implementing a time limit for completing this segment could have added an exciting layer of urgency and pressure, making it more engaging and rewarding for players.
What Stands Out
As I played through this harrowing night shift, I couldn't help but wonder: How would I react in a real-life disaster scenario? Inside Under&Out is a sobering reminder of preparedness and quick thinking under pressure. Beyond the gameplay, the experience offered valuable insights into maintaining composure in crisis situations.
The Verdict
If you think you’d find it intriguing to roleplay as an underpaid, underappreciated cashier navigating the challenges of a convenience store during an earthquake, then I recommend checking this game out.
