Kiosk is an interesting horror game about a man who recently started working at a food kiosk. The game starts you off in a small area where you begin preparing food and quickly learn from customers that the guy you replaced went missing, and before he went missing, he was seeing things.
The game slowly draws out and is reminiscent of cooking simulator games; it lures you into a false sense of safety during the food preparation and then the scares begin. Throughout the game, you complete various orders, some complex, some simple, and as the days pass by, you slowly become complacent until it's all over.
Would I ever work at a food kiosk on the late shift after playing this game? Absolutely not. I really enjoyed my time playing this game. It brings life into perspective and makes you realize how short it really is. The monotony of everyday life leaves you glad the day is finally over, and before you know it, you're sitting in a retirement home reminiscing about working a crummy job you had when you were a whippersnapper working at a food kiosk.Â
For fans of cooking games and jump scare horror games who have roughly thirty minutes to spare, I highly recommend you check out Kiosk.
